CASE STUDY: Quick Response For First Responder Training: Victor Valley Community College District – Regional Public Safety Training Center via FASTSIGNS, Victorville, CA & Mark Bric Display Corp.
Problem: Victor Valley Community College District Regional Public Safety Training Center needed to increase enrollment and success in recruiting efforts for its public safety training programs offered via the community college.
Solution: Mark Bric Display and FASTSIGNS joined forces to create an exhibit that would quickly draw the attention of college students to the public safety training program. Big, bold, colorful photographs and large easy to read fonts graphically designed by FASTSIGNS and then printed in house by Mark Bric Display were combined to put finishing touches on a Mark Bric 4×3 Curved SnapUp® for VVCC Public Training Center’s exhibit space.
Sound the Alarm! This Mark Bric Display SnapUp® will certainly get your attention! It is a 4×3 Curved SnapUp® with an Expo Case perfect for a 10’x10’ exhibit space. The colorful, bold photos and attention getting font were graphically designed by one of our dealers, FASTSIGNS of Victorville, CA, for Victory Valley Community College’s(VVCC) Regional Public Safety Training Center (RPSTC). The objective was to promote the public safety training and career development programs of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire Science/Firefighting, and Administration of Justice.
The RPSTC decided that they wanted new graphics designed and created for their previously purchased Mark Bric SnapUp® display so David O., from the training center, turned to FASTSIGNS, one of Mark Bric’s authorized dealers. FASTSIGNS worked closely with the Mark Bric Display customer service and design teams to ensure the training center would receive a perfect new graphic element for the display. “The staff members at FASTSIGNS in Victorville, CA were extraordinary in their attention to details and customer service from inception to delivery. Their manager Alison Johnson, personally, came out to our Training Center to meet with me to discuss our vision for our new tradeshow display – offering solutions and enhancements,” commented David.
Noting the fact that the Training Center’s unique program even includes a prop yard consisting of various fire training props, and a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training area, Fast Signs requested they provide some real life action pictures to incorporate into the desired display in order to accurately portray the training center’s offerings. FastSigns then chose dramatic fonts in effort to make them stand out and be read easily from a distance. The client representative also needed QR codes to be incorporated into the design so RPSTC could easily and effectively transfer information to their own target audience. David O. added, “Their Graphic Designer, Josh, listened intently, took our vision and created a display that was beyond our expectations.”
Alison Johnson from FASTSIGNS remarked, “Mark Bric always makes it easy. Not only do they sell exhibit booths and lots of accessories, they also offer to print the graphics for you. They even sent us graphic panel templates to make our design job easier!” She added, “We, and our customer, were very pleased with how this display turned out. Mark Bric has a great team that walks you through the order process and ships the exhibit ready to go to the end user.”
As an added bit of attention getting fun, the client got creative and incorporated police car lights into their display at the show. Between the lights and the colorful, attention getting display, they achieved their goal of increasing awareness for the training and have moved forward with integrating general education programs for Associate Degrees in public safety fields, training new firefighters, police officers, paramedics and emergency medical technicians, and additionally have expanded opportunities to upgrade skills for existing public safety professionals.
